.37 down. .3 to go.

Rachael's belly reminds me so much of my own when I was pregnant. Round and high. :) Except, she told me today that she got a HUGE kick in the ribs yesterday and all I had up there was my baby's large head. I'm not sure which is worse. I'm thinking the kicking.

Rachael and I met up this afternoon for a few last minute maternity shots. (it's been a looooonnnng time since I posted a sneak peek on the same day- I'm just a little excited about these.) She's a whopping 37 weeks pregnant so, really, that sweet baby girl could come at any time. Enjoy this time Rachel. Your world is about to change. It will be unimaginably better than you would have ever dreamed. She will be the most amazing thing that has ever happened to you (even at 12am, 2am, 4am & 6am). I cannot wait to meet her... even if she does give me just a little more baby fever.

See you in a few weeks... get some rest. :)

.pure glee.

is what I felt this morning after leaving sweet little Seth's house. I was so excited to come home and upload the images and work on them. I'm posting just one for now because I ran out of time but I may post a few more tonight. I can already tell I'm going to love this session and I might branch out from the typical color and play with black and white... Y'all know I love me some color but this calls for a little softness. :)

Sweet sweet boy...

Can you say baby fever??

know of anyone getting married?

I'm working on building my wedding portfolio so I need willing victims... Just kidding. Sort of. I have done a few weddings and have decided that I enjoy them as long as I can bring an assistant. (don't worry- that's not extra... it's part of the packages) So, if you know of anyone who is getting married send them my way! If you know someone who's getting married in January or February tell them they will get 20% off of their total. That's off of the package and anything else they add to their package- if they decide to. This means they can save up to $540! If you know of someone who is interested have them email me at emilythurmond@gmail.com for a price list and to answer any questions they may have.

.one more for today.

No more, lady...
There's more where these came from... :)

.will it rain?. .will it not?.

I spent allll day on Wednesday worrying about my senior session that evening. Kellyn's sister Danica and I met through my sister a while back and I had the opportunity to take she and her man's pictures and her mom loved them. So much so that when it came time for little sister Kellyn's senior portraits I got an email. :) Kellyn lives in Washington state and was only here in Texas for 2 days- Tuesday and Wednesday. So, when it had rained allll day on Tuesday, we were all a little concerned that the rain may really mess up our plans on Wednesday. We decided to wait it out and I'm so glad that we did.

(why does blogger insist on messing with the colors when I upload them onto a post? In their file on my computer the colors in these images are AMAZING. Then, when I upload them they are a little bleh. Anyone else that uses blogger got any suggestions? On a side note- does anyone even read this blog? (except my family... love you guys!) You don't have to have a blogger account to leave a comment. Here's what you do- Scroll to the bottom of the post that you want to comment on... See where is says "0 comments? Click there and follow the directions. If you don't have a blog click on "Anonymous" but make sure to leave your name. It's really easy. Try it. :) I'm feeling a little lonely.)

Anyway, here's beautiful Kellyn.

.married 30 years.

yeah. That's right. By God's grace they have been married 30 years. Pretty amazing these days!

Meet my in laws. They asked me back in April if I would be willing to capture a few images of them to celebrate this huge anniversary. So, it took a little longer than planned to figure out a date but I'm glad we went ahead and did them. My mother in law told me she doesn't usually like pictures of herself. I don't think they've had portraits like this in a long time. (My husband says he doesn't think they have ever had pictures done just the two of them- I said maybe before their wedding?) That's when having a photographer daughter-in-law comes in handy. I'm proud to have in laws that are still happily married after all these years... Oh, and by the way. Jonathan's grandparents have been married 55 years! (The year that we got married his parents had been married 25 and grandparents 50 years. Married on the 25's... cool huh?)

I hope it runs in the family. :)

Had to have one with my baby... They ADORE her.
